Yuki got home late that day. The next day, when Yuki was about to enter News’ room, she saw Linda leaning on the wall next to the door, staring into space. Yuki stood in front of her, “Linda-chan?”
Linda snapped from her daydream. “Yuki! I’ve been looking for you all night and all day!” she exclaimed.
Yuki looked amused. “Why are you looking for me?” she asked.
Linda pout. “I miss you. I could not find you last night. Where were you? I was worried you were not able to cope working here. I kind of feel guilty if you are not happy working here because I forced you here,” she said.
Yuki laughed. “Baka. I am happy here. How about you? I heard you are always storming out of News’s meetings in fits of anger. What is really wrong between the two of you?” Yuki asked.
Linda frowned. “Don’t ask. He’s a huge idiot. I cannot understand why so many girls like him anyway. Not only that, my uncle even likes him a lot! This really makes my life miserable,” Linda complained.
“You make mine miserable too,” a voice answered from behind.
The two girls spun around and saw Yamapi is his forever stylish dressing, staring at them from behind his sunglasses. “Speak of the devil and here he comes. Yuki, is this building too bright or is it only him who thinks that? Wear such huge sunglasses in the bright light. Only weird people like him do that. Anyway, Yuki, let’s go. Oh ya, you blind guy, there is recording for News later at 10am. Be punctual or I cut off your pay!” dragged Yuki away before he could retort something sarcastic.
Yuki was amused by them. “Linda, where are you taking me?” she asked.
“Recording studio! Ne, haven’t we been wanting to record our own CD? Now, we can do it! Hehe...” Linda grinned.
“Linda, is it legal? Will your uncle be furious?” Yuki asked.
“Nope, News producer has agreed to let us record a couple of songs for fun,” Linda answered.
The couple went ahead and had fun recording the songs without knowing that News were listening and watching them. “Hey, your sister’s voice is very nice,” Shige praised.
“Yeah, Linda’s voice is not bad too, right, Pi?” Ryo nudged him, teasing him.
Pi scowled. “That brat is not that bad for a crow,” he replied and went off.
News scampered to their studio, not wanting to get caught by the two girls. The producer gave them their CD as promised but he secretly had another CD with him to let Johnny listen.

meeting with shige
Yuki’s next meeting with Takamori Sensei ended well. She managed to express the meaning of the song perfectly. Though takamori sensei was pleased with her performance, he still did not praise her but instead told her, “ sakurako, you can do better than that.” and walked out the music room. Leaving Yuki was baffled by his comments as she saw him nodding his head while she was playing.
“ Sensei, chotto matte kudasai.” Yuki ran after him. however she was unable to catch up with him. Walking along the music rooms, she heard someone playing the guitar. Yuki wanted to see who it was but she knew it is rude to walk in just like that. Therefore, she tried to see thru the glass door. It was dark inside.
Yuki was trying to find the person inside when suddenly a face stared at her thru the glass. She got a shock and step back.
“ sorry sorry, did I scare you? Are you ok?” the person asked her. yuki just shake her head as she take a deep breath. “ I’m ok. Sorry. I was just being curious. Really sorry. i gotta go now. Sorry once again” yuki ran to the music room and slam the door behind her.
“ baka… why did I do that”
Someone knocked on the door of the music room, yuki nearly scream as she had her back on the door. Timidly, she open the door and saw the person just now. “ hi, I guess you dropped this. By the way, I’m kato shigeaki, just call me shige will do. I’m a friend of your brother. We meet before remember at NEWS room?” yuki took her keychain and shake her head. “ thanks.. um.. Sorry, I cant remember, anyway, as you know i’m tegoshi yuki, tegoshi yuya sister. Nice to meet you.” Both of them shake hands.
“What are you doing here?” Shige asked yuki. “ I’m practicing for NEWS performance next week” yuki then went to her piano and was asked to play the song by shige. Shige was impressed and decided to ask her for opinion on the song he just wrote. Both of them then continued talking for hours.

Notebook
Yamapi woke up from his sleep and found Yuki asleep on the sofa. He knew that Yuki was pregnant and he carried her back to the ward where her husband Shige was fast asleep. He covered Yuki up and went off.
He went outside and called home. “Yamashita residence,” his mom answered.
“Kasan,” he greeted.
“Tomohisa! How is everyone? Linda, the baby, Yuki,” she asked anxiously.
“They are fine, kasan. Linda still has not woke up yet. The baby is gaining weight slowly and more energetic. Yuki is fine. Shige is by her side. Kasan, I took some time off from work to be here for awhile. I will come home and see the boys though. How are they?” he asked.
“They are fine but they keep asking for the two of you. Akira is awake. I’ll let you talk to him,” Kasan said and passed the phone to the 3 year-old boy.
“Papa?” Akira greeted.
Yamapi smiled. “Hai, papa here. How are you?Have you been a good boy?” he asked.
“Hai.When papa coming back? Mummy?” he asked innocently.
“Papa coming home later. Mummy is sick so she has to stay in the hospital. Papa will bring you, Takahisa and Takizawa to see mummy soon, ok? Do you want anything? Papa will buy for you,” Yamapi replied.
“No. Akira wait for papa,” he answered.
“Ok, papa going to hang up, ok? Hang up first,” he said.
“Bye bye,” Akira said and hung up.
Yamapi heard the dial tone for several moments before he ended the call. He missed his boys. He would get home that afternoon and buy something for them. He snapped back from the trance and walked back to the ward.
He saw a notebook on the sofa that Yuki had left behind.He picked it up and flipped through it. He realized that she had been reading the journal that Linda and Yuki shared to write about their life ever since they met. He found that Yuki had stopped to the part where Yuki was told to understand the meaning of the song and also the part where Linda and him were having one of their fights. Yamapi smiled at the memory. Yamapi murmured, “I really hated you back then, Linda."
He read everything , laughing and crying in whatever that had happened to his wife and Yuki. He closed the book and kissed her forehead. “I have never ever regret being forced to marry you,” he replied.
He opened the book again and started to read from where Yuki had left off...

Takamori Shouta sensei
Yuki woke up early as she was excited being able to work at Johnny’s, being able to be near her aniki. She happily went outside to get the papers.
“ linda, wake up. look!” yuki pointed at the headline of the paper. Linda cursed and both got ready to start their 1st day of work. Yuki went to the music room where she met the person in charge, Takamori Shouta.
Yuki walked in timidly. “ Sakurako yuki” Someone called her name sternly. “hai” yuki replied. “ you are late. If you are late once again, I will not allow you inside this music room.” takamori shouta sensei scolded yuki. “ sorry. Really sorry.” Yuki replied and followed behind him.
“this is the music score for the upcoming performance by NEWS. From what I head from Johnny, you are good in playing the piano. However, i would rather make my own judgment. Try to play this song. Now!” yuki was scared of takamori sensei. She obediently played the song.
“um.. not bad.. however, you need to understand the meaning of the song to be able to play it perfectly. I give you till the end of this week to practice. I will test you again.” Yuki look at the diminishing back view of him. “ the meaning of this song?” yuki tried playing this song again and again. She can’t find anything wrong with it.
“ I guess I have to find aniki to know the answer.’ She walked to towards NEWS room. As she was about to knock on the door, the door opened and it hit her head. “ itai!” yuki rubbed her forehead.
“ yuki, are you okay? Sorry I did not do it on purpose” jin apologized to yuki. “What are you doing here?’ yuki asked while still rubbing her forehead. “ nothing, I gotta go. See you soon. Bye bye.” Jin ran along the corridor. Yuki opened the door to find everyone staring at her.
“ konnichiwa. I guess I come at the wrong time ? I’ll come back later” yuki was about to close the door behind her when her aniki called her. “ yuki, wait for me outside.” Yuki nod her head and closed the door.
“ yuki, looking for me?” her aniki asked her as they both sat outside the room. yuki nod her head and and gave the score to him. “ takamori sensei say I should try to understand the meaning of the song before I can play this song perfectly. I tried a lot of times but I don’t seem to find anything wrong with it.”
“Smap,Sekai ni Hitotsu Dake no Hana. Yuki, you must use your imagination. Visualize you are singing and playing this song for you best friends or you can imagine you are playing it for me. Like our music teacher always say, music comes from the heart.” Yuya left yuki shortly and yuki make her way back to the music room.

1st day of work
Linda woke up the next day feeling refreshed. Suddenly, her door burst open and Yuki ran in , waving a newspaper. “Linda! Look at this!” she exclaimed.
Linda took the paper and was surprised to see the news article. “Darn him! My first day of being their assistant manager and I have to be face with this!” Linda grumbled as she went to refresh herself.
Linda came into the meeting room. “Ohayo!” she chirped.
Everyone stared at her. “What is she doing here?” Yamapi muttered.
Johnny shot a glare at him and turned to Linda. “Guys, this is your new assistant manager. She will now be assisting you guys to lighten up your poor manager’s work. Her name is Linda Masaki and I think she prefers you to call her Linda. Anyway, she is very fierce and don’t try to mess with her,” Linda’s uncle introduced her which made Linda glare at him when she heard his words.
“Linda desu. Yoroshiku onegaishimasu,” she bowed.
“Ok, let’s get the meeting started. 1st to solve is this problem at hand. Yamapi dating Ai Yuu. What is this all about?” Johnny asked sternly.
Yamapi groaned. “She’s just a friend,” he replied.
“Friend?” Johnny asked.
“Anou, Uncle. I’ll take care of this problem. It’ll be settled by tomorrow. Don’t worry about it. She’s just a friend right?” Linda asked, jotting this information down.
Yamapi nodded. “Some friend. A shoplifter, a porn star. Hmm…I think you just want have some release,” Linda muttered under her breath.
Yamapi heard it and flared. “You don’t even know her! How can you judge? She just needs attention, not like you a spoilt brat! Everyone has to listen to you or you make a huge tantrum! You have everything you need, so back off!” Yamapi retorted heatedly.
Linda glared. “At least I don’t USE my body or shoplift!” she retorted.
Yamapi smirked. “ How would I know? A spoilt rich brat like you will do anything for fun. You do not need to stoop so low to gain attention like her,” Yamapi retorted.
Linda slapped his face hard. “You don’t know anything about me so you fairly well just shut up! Uncle, I’ll excuse myself. I’ll have to call the press,” Linda replied shakily and left the room.
“You deserve that,” Johnny told Yamapi and they resume their meeting for a while longer before being dismissed.
Linda ran to Kat-tun’s room. She opened the door and flew into Jin’s arms. “Jin-chan, he’s so mean. He said that I do anything for the sake of fun. I’m not like that, am I?” She sobbed in his chest.
Jin was surprised to see Linda like that. His heart ached for her. The rest of the Kat-tun members went out of the room quietly to give them some space. They knew Linda pretty well as they did hang out together lots of times.
Jin just held her till she calm down. “Gomen, Jin-chan,” she sniffed when she pulled away from him.
“Daijoubu. Who’s that person?” he asked.
Linda told him the whole story abot her being NEWS assistant manager and stuff. Jin shook his head. “He’s going to get it from me,” he thought to himself.
“Hmm…I feel better now. I’ll have work to do so I meet you later?” Linda smiled.
Jin nodded. “I’ll call you,” he replied as he watched her went out.
Jin went to NEWS room and approached Yamapi. Yamapi grinned. “Yoz!” he replied.
Jin gave him a punch on his stomach. “What was that for?” Yamapi grimaced.
“For Linda-chan,” he replied.
“What? You know her? That idiotic girl?” he asked.
Jin glared. “She’s not an idiot! You are! How could you say such things to her? Yes, she may be a spoilt brat and she’s rich. What makes you have the right to compare her with your filthy chick? Your chick is nothing compared to her. Linda is more pitiful than her. She has parents who don’t even care for her. She got into mischief like tying up musicians so that she could perform and show to her parents that she exists. No one pays any attention to her and if anyone does, is all because of her money. She knows she’s always being used yet she always puts on a happy face. Do you know that about her?” Jin said angrily.
Yamapi kept quiet. “If I hear her crying about you again, I’m not letting you off even though you are my best friend, do you understand?” Jin warned and turned to leave.
“Hold on, Jin,” Yamapi called him.
“Why do you care so much about her?” he asked.“Because she’s special to me,” Jin replied and left.

starting work
Both yuki and linda stayed over at linda’s uncle place that night. As they woke up the next morning, both their parents were waiting downstairs for them.
“Linda, what were you thinking? Dragging yuki into this mess?” linda’s dad was fuming. “ I want to be a singer. I want to stand on stage and sing for everyone.” Linda retort back.
Her dad gave her a tight slap and linda stormed back to the room. yuki who was standing there suddenly speak out. “ ano, uncle.. since it is her choice, why don’t you let her try? She might succeed in it and be a superstar”
Yuki dad intervened “ ano, masaki san, let the youngsters give it a try. Maybe they realize the hardship and give it up halfway.” “but, linda drag your daughter into this mess, yuki might not be willing to be involved.. but was forced too.” Linda dad said again.
“Believe me everyone, I’m willing to give it a try and I will take care of linda and prevent her from getting into more trouble. Please give us a chance.” Yuki kneeled down in front of everyone.
“ since yuki had said so, I will leave my wayward daughter in your hands Johnny. Take good care of them alrite.. especially yuki.. she is a nice girl and I don’t want linda to influence her.”
“ yuki, you take care of yourself.. and if u nd help, ur brother is there. And give us a call often. Okasan gonna miz u so much.” Yuki parents left with linda parents.
“ linda come down now. Your parents are gone. Linda, now.” Uncle Johnny called out to linda who was still in her room. “ yuki have a seat first. We will discuss what you guyz will be doing in the company from now onwards.”
“ linda, you will start by helping nakamaru tetsuo manage NEWS , you must plan their schedules and stuffs. As for yuki, I heard you can play the piano very well and yuya is your brother? *yuki nod her head* then I will let u play the piano for every performance we will be having. Is there any problems?” uncle Johnny asked.
“ why must I help NEWS instead of maybe Arashi? Uncle, I don’t like that guy from news. Please change your decision?” linda begged her uncle. “ Iie, my decision is final. Accept it if not you will go home now. Yuki, what about you?”
“uncle it is fine with me, I’m glad to be able to play the piano for every performance.” Yuki was pleased with his decision as she know she will be able to see her brother often. “ linda, you will start by helping nakamaru tetsuo manage NEWS , you must plan their schedules and stuffs. As for yuki, I heard you can play the piano very well and yuya is your brother? *yuki nod her head* then I will let u play the piano for every performance we will be having. Is there any problems?” uncle Johnny asked.
“ why must I help NEWS instead of maybe Arashi? Uncle, I don’t like that guy from news. Please change your decision?” linda begged her uncle. “ Iie, my decision is final. Accept it if not you will go home now. Yuki, what about you?”
“uncle it is fine with me, I’m glad to be able to play the piano for every performance.” Yuki was pleased with his decision as she know she will be able to see her brother often. Linda chan is also incharge of them so it will be easier to spend time with her aniki. She was so thrilled with the idea and can’t wait to start work.

yuki
As yuki, linda and akanishi friendship blossom, their parents become friends too. So yuki parents and Linda parents decided to have a joint venture. They had a party to mark this special occasion. As usual, yuya was not around, currently, he is a member of NEWS. A group under Johnny entertainment and Johnny is linda’s uncle from her paternal side. Everything seems to be linked in a way or another.
Yuki always seems out of place in parties that her parents are invited to join. She always seems lost and tries to look for a familiar face, linda, among the crowds. Linda always disappears after awhile. Yuki will try her best to look for her as linda always gets into trouble.
The party is starting and there is no sight of linda. Yuki looked high and low for her among the crowds. Suddenly, linda grab yuki’s arm and brought her to the stage area.
“ lindachan, whats wrong? Y did u bring me here?” yuki can sense that she will not like what linda had in mind. She tries to walk away but linda had a firm grip on her arm.
“ yuki later u play the song while I sing ok?” without waiting for yuki’s reply, linda drag her to the stage. She talked to the emcee and then yuki was asked to sit at the piano and linda holding the microphone.
Yuki wants to back out but linda seems to be so determined. As she was thinking, the curtain slowly raised and everyone was looking at them. “ oh dear, It is too late” yuki said softly. She can’t hear what linda said as she is scared stiff. Yuki had stage fright and linda knows it. Her mind went blank and she stared at linda who was looking at her. linda went over and hold her hand tightly as if to say “ I believe you can do it”
Placing her fingers on the keys, yuki started playing. Yuki got absorbed into playing the piano that she did not glance at the audience once. Linda was beaming at her and started to sing. It ended so fast and yuki realize she been enjoying every moment on stage. The applause by the audience made her more confident and she felt so touched.
Linda drag yuki and they bowed. As they went backstage, they were surrounded by a group of man in blacks. Linda know that her parents are angry with her and send them to get her. She said goodbye to the shocked yuki.
Yuki parents praised their daughter for her fabulous performance. On the other hand, linda’s parents had scolded their only daughter and she is met with a punishment which she thinks is unreasonable.
At night, yuki handphone rang.
“ moshi moshi, linda chan, nani?” yuki received a phone call from linda. It seems to be urgent and linda wants yuki to go over now. Yuki ran to linda’s house which was a few streets away.
“ linda chan, what are you doing?” linda was throwing a rope from her bedroom window. “yuki, help me down.” Linda told yuki who was looking so worried at her. “ don’t just stand down there, hold the rope from below” yuki hold the rope firmly and linda slowly went down. She had thrown 2 bags before that.
“ linda –chan where are we going?” yuki was dragged by linda. she did not reply yuki’s question. Yuki just followed her blindly. They reached this big building and there are 2 security guards inside.
“ good evening, ms masaki. Who are are you looking for?” one of the guard greeted linda. linda just ignored him and drag yuki to the lift. They took the lift and walked along this long corridor. Everyone stopped their work and looked in their direction. Yuki was embarrassed and keep her head low as they walked.
“ yuki , wait here” linda took a deep breath and opened the door. Yuki stood outside as the door slowly closed behind linda. She cant hear what is happening inside and as turned to her right, she saw a big poster. As yuki looked closer, she saw yuya’s face. Yuki had not seen yuya for 2 weeks already and she missed him dearly.

Linda and Yamapi's first meeting
Linda marched towards the building with her luggage and Yuki in tow. Yuki kept quiet and hurried to follow her long strides.
The two of them went in and entered the lift and went straight to the top floor. Yuki looked nervously at Linda whose face was set in determination. Her heart was pounding and was even harder when the lift opened.
Linda marched towards an office. She stopped for a minute in front of the door and took a deep breath. She then turn the doorknob opened and entered an office. The secretary was not around since it was almost 8pm at night. She marched straight towards the second door and opened the door.
“Uncle!” Linda called out as soon as she entered the office.
Her uncle who was having a meeting with a group of boys, stopped talking and looked up. “What are you doing here?” he asked as he saw her pulling a luggage.
“Ne, uncle, can I stay with you from now on? I do not want to go back home. My parents are just so incorrigible. I will do anything fro you. I can even work for you for free! Well, not exactly free, but if you do give me some pocket money, it will be fine. Onegaishimasu!” she begged.
“Linda, we’ll talk about this later?” he asked gently.
“But uncle, please agree to my request first. I’m sure my parents have sent to bodyguards to look for me,” she begged he uncle.
“Ano, Johnny-san,” a guy interrupted.
Both Linda and Johnny looked at him. “Are we still having a meeting?” he asked.
“Can’t you wait? I will leave as soon as I finished taking to my uncle, so please keep quiet till then,” Linda answered.
“How can you just intrude in like that?” the guy retorted back, angrily.
Linda glared at him. He glared back. Everyone was looking at these two teenagers having a verbal fight. “Which part of ‘can’t you wait’ and ‘please keep quiet’ that you do not understand? I will be glad to explain it to you,” Linda asked in annoyance.
He was just about to replied something back when her uncle stepped in. “Stop it you two. Yamashita-san, please wait while I settle this problem at hand first. Linda, go to my house and stay there. I’ll will take care of your parents,” her uncle instructed her.
Linda smiled and grinned. “You are the best, uncle!” she exclaimed and hugged her uncle.
“Go straight to my house. Don’t go anywhere,” he smiled at her.
“Yuki-chan, let’s go! Oh ya, I brought a friend over, is that ok?” she asked.
“Friend? Akanishi?” her uncle asked.
“No, not him. Another one. Yuki Sakurako. I’ll introduce you to her. Yuki, come in,” Linda called her.
Yuki stepped into the room shyly. Linda took he hand and pulled her towards her uncle. “Uncle, this is Sakurako Yuki. Yuki, this is my world famous uncle!” Linda chirped happily.
Meanwhile, the group of boys at the back was watching the whole scene with an amused expression except for one who was scowling silently. “Ah! Yuki!” someone exclaimed.
Everyone turned to the voice’s source. It was Yuya who had stood up and was shocked to see his sister there. “Yuya!” Yuki exclaimed.
“So, your brother is here, huh? Nice to meet you, Yuya-kun!” Linda grinned and made her way over and shook his hand.
“Eh…umm…nice to meet you, what’s your name?” he asked.
“Oh! I’m Masaki Linda. Just call me Linda. Your sister will be sleeping over at my uncle’s place so don’t worry ok? Ja ne!” Linda chirped and pulled Yuki away.
A few hours later.
“Your sister is so cute,” Koyama said.
“Oh, thanks. So she is the one Yuki had been talking about,” Yuya remarked to himself.

yuki's new friends
Gradually, yuki’s mum decided to let yuya be home schooled and soon, yuya quit school. Though yuki had anticipated this, she can’t help feeling sad over it. She can count the times she see her aniki this month. It is lesser than 5 times and the only way she can talk to him is to write in the diary.
Yuya wrote in the diary telling yuki that he will try his best to be with her. in addition, he wrote that whenever she is lonely or upset about something, play the piano and pretend he is there playing the guitar with her. yuya words brought tears to her eyes. Nowadays, the sad melody from the piano is heard from time to time. Everyone from the Sakurako household can’t help feeling sad upon hearing the melody.
Whenever everyone was having lunch break, yuki will go to the music room. Everyone hates yuki as they thought yuki wants to show off her talent in playing the piano. During music lesson, yuki will be asked to play the piano making some of them jealous and called her names such as teacher’s pet. Therefore, yuki keep to herself most of the time.
yuya who was back home for 2 days had a long chat with her. he gave her his favourite keychain and told her he will always be with her now. Furthermore, yuya make her promised to be strong and don’t let people’s word bother her. Having her brother support, yuki felt better.
She gradually got used to life in school. Everyone in school still avoided her but yuki don’t let it bother her. Time past very fast and finally she is going to graduate from elementary school. kaori sensei, yuki music teacher had asked yuki to play the piano for the choir and she had to perform a piano piece during the graduation ceremony. the teacher had set her mind on it and no matter how much yuki protested, she did not change her mind.

The piece yuki had chosen to perform was “hoshi wo mezashite” and she had to play “Mugendai” for the choir segment. There is also a dance segment and the school belle, masaki linda is participating. Yuki had noticed masaki linda around school and everyone liked her. They like hanging around with her.
Finally everything had ended and the people gradually left the hall. As the hall is deserted, yuki went to the piano and played a song. Everyone had their parents with them and they head to the canteen for refreshments. Yuki’s parents on the other hand were unable to attend her graduation ceremony as they had to attend an important meeting at New York.
As she was playing “ yesterday once more” by the carpenters, someone suddenly talked. It scared the hell out of her. She recognized that the girl is Masaki Linda. Yuki was still in shock and did not reply the questions asked. When asked for her name, yuki finally answered her.
Yuki could not believe that someone is willing to talk to her and though she did not answer her earlier questions, masaki linda still keep on asking her questions and was not irritated by it. A guy, whom yuki always see masaki linda hang around with drag her away much to the protest from the girl. Yuki continued playing the song as the hall is once again deserted.
She had written an entry in her diary to inform yuya of the happening during the graduation ceremony.
[ new school ]
Yuki went to the high school where almost all of the school mates go. While on her way to class, someone tap yuki’s shoulder.
“ hey, nice to see you again. You are in this class?” Masaki Linda said in her chirpy voice. Yuki nod her head and was drag inside the class by masaki linda. “ I can call you yuki or yuki-chan right? Well, you can call me linda or if you like linda-chan also can” yuki’s new found friend hand out her hand for a handshake.
From then on, yuki hang around linda. Linda’s silly ways never fail to make yuki smile and she was introduced to Akanishi Jin, linda’s childhood friend. However, yuki is still a quiet girl and seldom talk to other people except for the 2 of them. She still prefers to be alone and not be in crowds as yuki will feel lost or uneasy.

“Akanishi! Where are you going?” Kamenashi asked him as Akanishi hurried to leave the dance studio.
“Something came up. I need to go now. I’ll see you guys later,” Akanishi replied, distracted.
Akanishi just received a message from Linda that she was running away from the house. Again. Akanishi sighed. This was not the first time she did this. This always happened when she had a fight with her parents but it were never serious. She would run to his house and stayed there till Akanishi persuaded her to go home and make up with her parents.
If not because Akanishi loved her like a sister, he would have long ago break off all ties with her. He knew that Linda did all these so that her parents would take notice of her. He wished that someday someone would truly love her and take care of her unlike her own parents because she was a very sweet girl beneath all those delinquency acts of hers.
Akanishi got home and did not find Linda in his house. Worried, he called her up. “Linda, where are you? It’s late at night, ” he asked.
“I’ve bothered you for so long now. I’m not going to trouble you any longer. Bye,” she answered and switched off the phone.
Akanishi stared at his phone in disbelief. What on earth had she done this time? He wondered as he took his jacket and went to search for her.
Meanwhile, Yuki was looking at Linda nervously. She had helped Linda escaped from her room by throwing a rope over to her window so that Linda who was grounded for her whole life by her parents could escape. Yuki watched as Linda climbed down from her window after throwing her bags down, guiltily, wondering what had she done.
“Yosh! I’m free!” Linda exclaimed and hugged her friend.
“Let’s go!” Linda grinned at her and pulled her hand.
“Where are we going?” Yuki asked.
“To my uncle’s company,” Linda replied.
Yuki kept quiet and followed Linda. Her thoughts now went back to what happened this morning.
That morning, Linda’s father’s company, Masaki Holdings which was specialized in the hotel industries was having a ceremony to mark the joint venture with the Sakurako Company which was specialized in the automobile industries. Linda who was bored with the party and no one to talk to as Akanishi was not around, started to wander away.
She wandered away and soon the emcee of the ceremony announced that there would be some entertainment arranged that night. An idea formed in her mind. She crept near to the stage and was looking around when she saw Yuki looking lost. She went up to her and whispered, “Let’s do a performance together. You can play the piano, right? Let’s play the song, Sekai ni hitotsu dake no hana, ok? Let’s go!” Linda pulled her hand without listening to the poor girl’s reply.
As soon as the curtain came up, everyone was expecting a famous classical violin player to perform but instead, Linda had bound and gagged the player backstage and appeared instead. “Konnichiwa! Masaki Linda desu. Ima, watashi to tomodachi ga utao utaimasu,” Linda smiled.
Her parents were shocked to see their only daughter make a fool of herself on stage and not only that, she had pulled the daughter of their partner along for the prank. They watched the performance in grim expression.
Yuki had never played in front of an audience. “Yuki-chan, hajimete yo!” Linda smiled at her and squeezed her hand.
Looking at Linda who was so confident of her and depended on her to perform, Yuki felt a burst of confidence running through her veins. She nodded and her slender fingers brushed across the keys, producing a melodious music. Linda beamed at her and started to sing. Yuki was absorbed in her playing and Linda’s singing that she was not aware of her surroundings. She only realized what happened when she heard a loud applause.
Linda pulled her to stand and bowed. Yuki smiled shyly and bowed. “You did great, Yuki-chan,” Linda praised her as they went backstage.
Yuki nodded. As soon as they stepped backstage, they were greeted by Linda’s bodyguards. “Haiz…fun performing with you. Now, those old people want to have a ‘nice’ talk with me. I see you around, ok?” Linda grinned at her as she was being led away.
Yuki went back to her parents who were smiling at her. “You were great just now,” her mom praised her.
“Arigato, kasan,” Yuki beamed happily but wondered what happened to Linda.
Linda trudged into the luxurious room sulkily. “Sit down, Linda,” her dad instructed her.
Linda make herself looked expressionless and knew that she would get an earful. “What did you think you are doing, young lady? Tying the poor violin player up and sing in front of so many people. Not only that, you also dragged the daughter of our new partner! Can you at least grow up for a moment and stop making all these childish acts?” her dad nagged at her.
“I do what I want. Anyway, everyone loves our performance. It’s much better than that classical violin player,” Linda remarked.
“You are grounded your whole life! Not only that, you are not allowed to meet your friends especially that Akanishi Jin till you reflect on your mistakes!” her dad barked at her.
“I hate you!” Linda retorted and earned a slap from her dad.
Linda glared at her parents and walked off angrily. That was when she decided to run away from her house forever. She hated her parents for trying to conform her into something that she was not when they were not even there for her
“Something came up. I need to go now. I’ll see you guys later,” Akanishi replied, distracted.
Akanishi just received a message from Linda that she was running away from the house. Again. Akanishi sighed. This was not the first time she did this. This always happened when she had a fight with her parents but it were never serious. She would run to his house and stayed there till Akanishi persuaded her to go home and make up with her parents.
If not because Akanishi loved her like a sister, he would have long ago break off all ties with her. He knew that Linda did all these so that her parents would take notice of her. He wished that someday someone would truly love her and take care of her unlike her own parents because she was a very sweet girl beneath all those delinquency acts of hers.
Akanishi got home and did not find Linda in his house. Worried, he called her up. “Linda, where are you? It’s late at night, ” he asked.
“I’ve bothered you for so long now. I’m not going to trouble you any longer. Bye,” she answered and switched off the phone.
Akanishi stared at his phone in disbelief. What on earth had she done this time? He wondered as he took his jacket and went to search for her.
Meanwhile, Yuki was looking at Linda nervously. She had helped Linda escaped from her room by throwing a rope over to her window so that Linda who was grounded for her whole life by her parents could escape. Yuki watched as Linda climbed down from her window after throwing her bags down, guiltily, wondering what had she done.
“Yosh! I’m free!” Linda exclaimed and hugged her friend.
“Let’s go!” Linda grinned at her and pulled her hand.
“Where are we going?” Yuki asked.
“To my uncle’s company,” Linda replied.
Yuki kept quiet and followed Linda. Her thoughts now went back to what happened this morning.
That morning, Linda’s father’s company, Masaki Holdings which was specialized in the hotel industries was having a ceremony to mark the joint venture with the Sakurako Company which was specialized in the automobile industries. Linda who was bored with the party and no one to talk to as Akanishi was not around, started to wander away.
She wandered away and soon the emcee of the ceremony announced that there would be some entertainment arranged that night. An idea formed in her mind. She crept near to the stage and was looking around when she saw Yuki looking lost. She went up to her and whispered, “Let’s do a performance together. You can play the piano, right? Let’s play the song, Sekai ni hitotsu dake no hana, ok? Let’s go!” Linda pulled her hand without listening to the poor girl’s reply.
As soon as the curtain came up, everyone was expecting a famous classical violin player to perform but instead, Linda had bound and gagged the player backstage and appeared instead. “Konnichiwa! Masaki Linda desu. Ima, watashi to tomodachi ga utao utaimasu,” Linda smiled.
Her parents were shocked to see their only daughter make a fool of herself on stage and not only that, she had pulled the daughter of their partner along for the prank. They watched the performance in grim expression.
Yuki had never played in front of an audience. “Yuki-chan, hajimete yo!” Linda smiled at her and squeezed her hand.
Looking at Linda who was so confident of her and depended on her to perform, Yuki felt a burst of confidence running through her veins. She nodded and her slender fingers brushed across the keys, producing a melodious music. Linda beamed at her and started to sing. Yuki was absorbed in her playing and Linda’s singing that she was not aware of her surroundings. She only realized what happened when she heard a loud applause.

Shige & Yuki
Yuya was away for 2 weeks but to yuki, it seems like forever. School is going to start tomorrow. Yuki is scared to attend school alone. Usually, yuya will hold her hand and lead her to the classroom. He will sit beside her in class and both will play with the other kids together. From now on, yuki will have to learn to live a life without her aniki’s protection.
[ The Next Day ]
“ okasan, when can aniki go to school with me again?” yuki looked at her mother who was combing her tresses. Sakurako Suri sighed “ my lovely child, yuya will be busy and might not be able to attend school everyday with you. But don’t forget that he cares a lot for you and wish to spend more time with you, be it in school or at home. However, he is working hard for his dream and he is very happy doing what he is doing now. Right yuki?” yuki’s mother hug her tightly as yuki is sobbing uncontrollably.
“ yuki look at me. Things will never be like before. Yuya will not be with you every single moment. You must learn to be independent, your aniki will want to see you happy not crying.” Yuki wiped her teary face and nod her head.
Uncle ken drove yuki to school at Eitoku School and his heart pain as he saw Yuki’s crestfallen face as she slowly walked to class. As yuki sat at her usual table, she can’t help crying as she noticed the empty seat beside her which belongs to yuya. She then took out the diary and wrote her entry.

Yuki and Linda's 1st meeting
“Okasan! Otosan!” Linda shouted as she skipped into the huge mansion.
“Welcome home, young mistress,” a butler bowed to her.
“Konnichiwa, uncle!” she chirped happily and ran into the house.
“Kasan!” she called her mom again.
This time, her nanny, Akito, approached her and bowed. “Welcome home, young mistress. Your parents are not home. They are in Brazil now attending an important business deal. They will be back in a week’s time,” she informed the six-year-old girl.
Linda nodded. She kept her smile bright even though her eyes were filling up with tears. There was never a moment whereby her parents put her as the top priority. Whenever there is a parent-teacher meeting, none of her parents will come. Instead it would be her nanny who would come and attend. When her parents were back, they would give her lots of toys and food, which made her happy. They could give her everything except time.
Linda refreshed herself and went outside and sat on the swing, looking at the sky, wondering about her parents. She was used to being alone and to attract attention to herself, she would use ways and methods to carry out many mischiefs.
Suddenly, she heard a loud noise beside her house. She ran out and saw there were a few moving trucks entering the mansion next door. Linda peered into the gate and suddenly saw a boy staring at her curiously. Linda grinned. “Konnichiwa! My name is Masaki Linda. I live next door. You are?” she asked.
“I’m Akanishi Jin,” he answered.
He put out his hand and Linda grabbed it and shook their hands. From that day on, the two of them became very close friends.
A few years later
Akanishi and Linda grew up together and went to the same school. The school for the rich people- Eitoku School. Even though Akanishi was a year older than her, he would make a point to keep an eye on her. He knew that she would want to attract as many attention as possible and sometimes things could get a little bit out of hand.
“Jin-chan, I sign up out names in the dancing part of the ceremony,” Linda grinned during lunch.
He was eating and almost spilled his lunch when he heard what Linda had done. “You what? You what?” he asked.
Linda looked at him innocently. Her cat-like eyes were shining with excitement. Akanishi sighed. He could never scold her. Everyone around them was staring at them curiously. Akanishi and Linda were the most popular couple in school. They were known to be the most perfect couple both in brains and beauty even though they were only in elementary school.
“But I am already in Middle school! How can I participate?” he asked.
“I begged the teacher to let you in. Besides, I know you want to get into my uncle’s company. My uncle dotes on me and I will recommend you to him if I see that your dancing is good,” Linda winked.
Akanishi eyes lit up. A chance to enter Johnny’s entertainment and to meet people like Takuya Kimura, Goro, Tsuyoshi and Koichi. Akanishi grinned and agreed.
On the day of the performance.
“Jin-chan, I forgot my vest! Please look for me?” Linda begged him.
Jin narrowed his eyes at her but left without a word. Linda wandered and soon heard a soft music. She followed the music and saw a girl playing a sad song on the piano. “Anou, are you one of the piano players? Konnichiwa! I’m Masaki Linda. Just call me Linda. Are you going to graduate this year too? I’m graduating this year,” Linda introduced herself.
The girl looked up from the piano and stared at Linda. Linda sat next to her. “Why do you play such sad songs? You should play songs like this,” Linda chirped and played a few bars.
The girl did not answer. “what’s your name?” Linda asked.
“Sakurako Yuki,” she answered.
“Nice name! Snow! Your skin is like snow too! Hmm… My name has no meaning. I wonder what my name means,” Linda replied.
“Linda! There you are! Come on,” Jin pulled her.
“Sorry for disturbing you. She’s a bit loose up here,” Jin pointed to Linda’s head.
“What do you mean by that? Baka! Bakanishi!” Linda retorted, frowning.

the young yuki
Sakurako Yuya and Sakurako Yuki are twins and the latter is the youngest. Both of them are close and yuya being the elder brother will always protect yuki.
Yuki likes to play the piano while yuya plays the guitar. At the tender age of 6, both of them had obtained the highest grade for both instruments. During family gathering, yuya and yuki will perform for everyone a song. Though yuki will sing with yuya when they practice together, she will get stage fright when faced with audiences. Therefore, yuya voice will only be heard.
Yuki hates her timidity and will cry in her room but her brother will console her. They tried so many ways to overcome her stage fright but always end up in despair.
“ aniki, daijoubu. I will just concentrate on playing my piano while you play the guitar and in charge of singing.” yuki assured yuya. “ yuki, it is unfair. You have a great voice, we should sing together.” No matter how yuya tried to reason with yuki, she had set her mind on it.
During parties which their parents are invited to attend, both yuya and yuki would be invited to perform. During one of the performance, yuya was asked by their parents meet this uncle.
“ hi, you are sakurako yuya?” this nice uncle introduced himself.
“ hai, hajimemashite” yuya greeted back.
Yuya was asked whether he is interested in joining Johnny’s entertainment. He could perform on tv, learn dancing, meet more people and mostly, able to record an album.
“ uncle, can my sister yuki join too?” yuya asked the kind uncle.
“ my boy, girls are not allowed to join as it is an only boys agency.”
“then I don’t want to join since my sister will not be there.” The young yuya refused to join as he wants to perform together with his sister. Yuki who heard the whole conversation drag yuya aside.
“ aniki, don’t be ridiculous. It is your dream to be able to sing on tv. Why did you refuse this great opportunity? Aniki, I’m fine. I know I will never be able to stand on stage and perform like you. Join them please, if not I will so angry at you.”
Yuya ponders and look at yuki for confirmation. She nod her head to show her approval. “ you sure u will be ok?” yuya asked once again. “ daijoubu. I will definitely be ok.”
They walked over to where their parents and that uncle is. “ dad mum, can I join?” both nod their head and yuya joined that agency.
It’s been a week since yuya joined that agency. The time spent between yuya and yuki lessen. Yuya is always at the company practicing his singing and comes home late almost everyday. Sometimes, she is asleep when he comes home or is too tired to play with her.
Yuki misses her brother so much. No more practices, no more hide and seek and no more spending time together.
Nowadays, Yuki stayed in her room most of the time playing with miko her pet cat and will occasionally glance at the window hoping that her brother will come home soon. The practice session is boring without yuya. Everyone in the household noticed her change and tries ways to make her happy. Yuki will smile and laugh with them but deep down, she knows that no one can take yuya place.
[ 2 months later ]
One night, everyone was asked to gather at the living room. Her parents told everyone that yuya will be performing at SMAP’s concert as a dancer. Yuya was beaming and walked over to yuki.
“ yuki, I can perform now. You will be happy for me right?” yuya held her hand and looked at her. yuki just nod her head and tries to hide the tears that threaten to flow. “ I will be so proud of you aniki.”
Yuki had cried herself to sleep that night. Yuya who was standing outside her room heard her crying and went to ask his parents as to why yuki was crying. They tried to explain to him that yuki feels lonely and misses him but she will be ok after awhile.
“ mum dad, how can I make her happy again?” his parents told him a lot of ways. Yuya decided that he will exchange diaries with his sister. He took the diary from dad and wrote his 1st entry.
[ entry ]
Yuki, gomen ne. I’m sorry that I make you cry. Promise me that you will not cry anymore because I will be sad too. Let’s exchange diaries so that I can understand how you are and what’s been going on lately. No matter how busy I am, I promise you that I will write my entry.

Linda's feelings..
Linda heard everything that was said. She heard Yuki screaming heatedly at Yamapi for refusing to see her and the baby. She heard the News members trying to make Yamapi snapped out of his shock and dazed position. She heard crying. Most important of all, she heard Yamapi walking away from her.
Her heart broke with each step that Yamapi took as he walked away from her. She wanted to scream out to him. Scream, yell, shout till her voice was coarse but no one could hear her. “YAMASHITA TOMOHISA! Please don’t go! Please don’t leave me alone!” Linda yelled but Yamapi walked further and further away from her.
She heard Yuki pleading to her to wake up. She tried to open her eyes. She used all her energy to open them but to no avail. “I’m sorry, Yuki. I can’t do it. I can’t open my eyes. I’ve let everyone down. I’ve let you down, I’ve let Shige down, I’ve let Akira, Takizawa and Takahisa down. I’ve even let Tomohisa down. I’m the worst person alive. I’m sorry,” she apologized but no one could hear her.
She was just about to give up when she heard the voice that she had wanted to hear. “I’m sorry, Linda. I’m sorry for being a jerk. I’m sorry for being a coward and refused to see you and the baby. Please wake up. I’m here. I will not walk away from you ever again,” Yamapi told her, his voice choked up with tears.
Linda in return, unable to communicate with him, shed tears when she heard his apology. He stayed with her all through the night, stroking her hair, her hand while talking to her about mundane stuff.
When the doctor told them that the baby would be fine, Linda was delighted to hear it. She had been worried about her premature child than herself. She could feel Yamapi’s hand tightened around hers when the doctor told them that the chances of her ever waking up were slim. She felt that the doctor had done injustice towards her. She will wake up! She will be back with her family once again. She would not give up easily, she vowed to herself.
She heard Yuki asking her about the past. About the time they received a lot of flowers and fruit baskets from fans, sponsors and other staff. “Linda-chan, do you remember them?” she asked.
Yes, I do remember them, she wanted to reply but was unable to do it. There was silence when Yuki asked that question. A few moments later, Linda heard someone crying. “Linda-chan, please do tell us a sign that you hear us?” Yuki asked tearfully.
“Yuki, please don’t be like this,” Shige pleaded with her.
Yamapi did not say anything. He just looked at Linda who looked as if she was sleeping peacefully. He looked closer and saw that Linda was shedding tears. “Why are you crying?” he asked as he wiped away her tears.
Everyone looked at Linda. “Don’t cry. Just wake up. Please come back to me,” Yamapi pleaded.
His pleas only make Linda cried harder. Her tears flew continuously like a leaking tap. “Linda, if you hear us, please stop crying. If you are sorry that you made us worry, then just wake up,” Ryo said harshly.
Yamapi glared at him. “Shut up, Ryo! You have no right to talk to her like that!” Yamapi snapped.
Ryo wanted to retort back when the beeping sound grew haywire. “What is happening?” Yuki asked as she saw Linda trying to breathe with much difficulty.
Yamapi rushed to get the doctor. The nurses had arrived and chased everyone out. When the doctor came, everyone was feeling anxious. “I’m sorry,” Ryo apologized to Yamapi.
Yamapi did not reply. His face was back to being expressionless. “It’s ok,” he whispered a few moments later.
Half an hour later, the doctor came out, looking grim. Yamapi looked at the doctor, hoping that there would be some good news about his wife but looking at the face, he knew not to get his hopes up. The doctor took a deep breath. “Yamashita-san, your wife had taken into a bad condition. She is now deeper into her coma. The only way to wake her up is to talk to her about happy things. Things which makes her happy,” he replied.
Yamapi nodded gravely. “Can I see her now?” he asked quietly.
The doctor patted him on the shoulder. “Yes, you can,” he said.
“Can you let us be alone for today?” Yamapi asked quietly to everyone after the doctor had left.
Everyone stared at him, questioningly. “I want to spend some quiet time with her, please,” Yamapi explained, almost pleadingly.
Everyone nodded slowly and started to leave. Yamapi turned and entered the room and sat down beside her. “I love you, Linda. Please wake up,” he begged as tears ran down his cheeks.
Yamapi spent the whole night with her, talking about his work and their children. As time passed by, he grew tired and fell asleep next to her, holding her hand tightly.
Yuki saw the whole scene and was touch to see the love between the two of them. She went in and put a blanket over the sleeping Yamapi. She sat down opposite of Yamapi. “Ne, your husband loves you so much. If only you can see him now. I still remember how much the two of you hated each other. It’s was funny but scary at the same time, remember?” Yuki said and start to talk about the past.
Meanwhile, Linda had gone deep into slumber and woke up to find herself in her memory lane. And so, the past began to unfold slowly.

shige & yuki 3
When everyone heard the doctor words, yuki felt her tears flowing down her cheek.
“ no, no. Linda will be fine. Right shige, right yuya… she is definitely going to be fine. She will never leave me. No.. she will not.” Yuki was hysterical and shige and yuya was trying to calm her down.
“ yuki, she is going to be fine. Hush now, Linda is going to be fine. Believe in her yuki ” shige and yuya tried in vain to assure her but yuki just keep mumbling to herself.
Yuki stared at Yamapi when she heard his comments. Massu grabbed yamapi by the collar and was going to hit him. Ryo and Koyama hold the fuming Massu away. Shige and yuya went to him and tried to reason with him but both were treated in the same cold manner.
At that moment, yuki stood up and slowly walked towards Yamapi. She slapped him real hard in the face. “ What did Linda and the baby do to make you so angry? What right you have to be angry at them? Whats wrong with you?” yuki screamed at his face.
“ answer me yamapi. What did they do? Linda had suffered so much for this baby. Do you care about her feelings if she see you this way! Yamapi answer me!!!!” yuki shouted and repeatedly hit his chest. “ I should have known that akanishi is better off with her than you” yuki lost her balance and fall to the ground clutching her stomach.
“ I hate you. I HATE you.” Yuki yelled at yamapi again as the tears just keep on flowing.
Shige and yuya helped her to the wheel chair. No one utter a word as everyone watched yamapi slowly walked away towards the exit.
All of them followed Linda to her ward. Yuki refused to leave her side no matter how much the others persuade her. Special arrangements were made so that yuki and linda’s wards are closer to each other and the NICU is just opposite their wards.
Shige insisted on taking yuki back to her ward for a rest, ignoring yuki’s pleas to stay with Linda. “Shige please, I want to stay with her, she needs me. Shige… please I beg you. Don’t take me away from her.” yuki was sobbing uncontrollably while gripping shige’s arm.
“ yuki, please don’t do this to me. I know you care about her and want to stay by her side. However, I believe that she do not want you to risk your health over her. Please rest now. You have been waiting there for 5 hours. Please spare a thought for me. You are making mi worried have you ever considered my feelings when I saw you faint in my arms.”
“ Gomen ne…Gomen ne shige… I’m been selfish and did not spare a thought for your feelings. Gomen ….” Shige hugged his sobbing wife in his arms as she cried on his shoulder.
The rest of the news members except for yamapi, yuya and shige had returned home Yamapi who was still in a daze was sitting outside Linda’s ward. He assured everyone that he is going to be alright though they know that he is just trying to put on an brave front. He never did once step inside to see Linda but look at his wife through the glass panel.
Koyama called yamapi’s mother, informing her of the latest development. Though she insisted on coming to the hospital, koyama managed to convince her to stay home to take care of the children.
Yuki did manage to get some rest but keep insisting on checking on Linda. No matter how reluctant shige was, he followed her wishes as he understood the strong bond they shared.
“ yuki please tell me if you feel unwell when you are there. Don’t try to bear the pain. Promise me that and I will bring you to her.” yuki nod her head and give shige a hug for being so understanding. Yuya who was sleeping at the sofa was stirred from his sleep.
“ yuya, I bring your sister to linda’s room. you get some rest alright.” shige pat yuya on the shoulder. Yuki mouthed the word thank you and yuya smiled and went back to sleep.
When they reach the door to linda’s ward, they saw yamapi looking at linda thru the glass panel. Yuki gave him a cold hard stare as they pass him. Yuki was wheeled to the bed and she held linda’s hand.
“ linda, wake up. Everyone is waiting for you. Akira, takizawa and Takahisa is waiting for you to go home so please open your eyes.” Yuki look at linda hoping she will open her eyes to look back. When there were no responses, the tears started flowing again.
Shige wiped the tears on her eyes and stand behind her. At that moment, both of them heard yuya and yamapi arguing outside. Shige went out to stop them.
“ yamapi, stop being in a daze. Your wife is inside, she is waiting for you to tell her that you will wait for her to wake up no matter how long it takes. Damn it.” Yuya punched his face.
Shige stopped yuya and had never seen the latter talk to yamapi in such a manner as yuya respected yamapi. “ yuya, its enough. Stop it.”
Yamapi still did not utter a single word. Shige had enough of it and dragged him to see the baby. Yuya walked behind yamapi just incase the latter tried to escape. As they got nearer to the incubator where the baby is, yamapi tried to run away but was hold back by both shige and yuya.
“ yamapi, this is the baby that your wife tried so hard to give birth too. This is the baby that linda is willing to sacrifice her life for. Look at the baby. Damn it yamapi, look at the baby.” Yamapi look at the baby through the incubator. The baby is awake and was looking at the people around him. He held out his hand to grab yamapi’s hand which was on the cover of the incubator.
Yamapi finally broke down and cried. He put his hand inside the opening of the incubator and touched the baby for the 1st time. The tiny hand gripped yamapi’s thumb tightly and yamapi smiled.
“ Look at him, He is so adorable right.” Yamapi said to shige and yuya.
“baby, forgive papa for the foolishness. I’m sorry.” Yamapi said to the baby then he look at shige and yuya who was trying their best to control the tears that threaten to flow.
Yamapi stayed with the baby for awhile more whereas shige and yuya left to accompany yuki. He came over shortly and held linda’s hand to his face.
“ I’m sorry Linda. Forgive me.” Yamapi uttered. “and yuki, I’m sorry. I’m really sorry.” Yuki had forgiven him as yamapi was also in a moment of shock to react that way.
[ next day ]
“Yamashita san, your wife’s condition has stabilized. However, I can’t guarantee if she will wake up from the coma. All you can do now is to keep talking to her” the doctor said to yamapi after examining linda.
“ what about the baby? Is he going to be alright?”
“ the baby is going to be fine. He is a strong kid though born prematurely.” Everyone felt relieved upon this good news, Yamapi’s mum who was also present hugged her son tightly at this great news.
Everyone gathered at linda’s room which was filled with flowers and fruit baskets. Everyone was talking among themselves when yuki suddenly asked them to keep quiet.
“ linda, did you remember the 1st concert we had? Our room was also filled with flowers from the fans. Did you remember those times linda?” yuki begin to talk about the old times.

Yamapi's shock
Yamapi held Linda’s hand tightly as the ambulance drove madly into the streets. “Linda, talk to me,” he begged.
Linda who was almost unconscious responded when she heard Yamapi’s voice calling her. “Tomohisa,” Yampi heard an extremely soft whisper.
Yamapi leaned closer. “Linda, what is it?” he asked.
“Sumimasen,” he heard her apologized.
“Ne, why are you apologizing? Linda, don’t close your eyes. Look at me. Tell me that you are going to be ok. Say something. Linda,” he said, frightened out of his wits.
Linda slowly closed her eyes and gave him a soft smile and uttered an apology again before she went into unconsciousness. Yamapi stared at her in silence and just followed with the flow when the ambulance arrived at the hospital. Linda was wheeled into the operation theatre where he was not allowed to come in. Yamapi stared at the door, his whole body numbed with fear.
“No, I will not forgive you,” he heard himself saying.
By that time, everyone ha arrived. Yamapi had retreated into a corner, not realizing that he was clenching his fists tightly that they had turned white. “Yamapi, do you need a drink?” Koyama asked.
Yamapi did not answer. It was as though he had gone into another world. His eyes were blank and face expressionless. “Yamapi, get hold of yourself!” Ryo shook him.
Still, none of them could get through him. They gave up and decided to just wait for the result of the operation.
(In the operation theatre)
“Doctor! Her blood pressure is weakening!” the nurse exclaimed.
“Doctor, it seems that the baby’s heart is also weakening,” the assistant doctor replied.
“Let me see the scan,” he replied.
The doctor had expected this to happen. The mother was losing blood internally and the baby was suffocating because the umbilical cord that connect the mother and child and served as the baby’s lifeline had been severed. “Prepare for the operation,” the doctor announced.
“But doctor! Both of them will not be able to take the pressure,” the assistant exclaimed.
“We have to take the risk. We have to save both of them or not, even one,” the doctor replied, taking charge.
A few hours later, the doctor managed to get the baby out. He handed the baby over to the doctor who was specialized in children who was standing nearby waiting. The doctor received the baby and immediately shouted out instructions to revive the tiny baby. The baby had stopped breathing. Due to his small lungs, which were not fully developed, the doctor had to be careful of the amount of air that he pumped in to make the baby breath again.
After a few trials, the baby managed to take in air. “He is not crying, sensei,” the nurse helping him cried.
The doctor frowned. “He is still trying to breathe properly. We shall put him under observation,” the doctor replied and made arrangements for the tiny newborn to be put in a special cot.
At the same time, the doctor attending to Linda had finished stabilizing her and was also doing some last minute tidying up.
The doctor left the operation theatre and was faced with a lot of people. Yamapi immediately stood up and looked at the doctor. “How is she and the baby?” he asked quietly.
Everyone strained to listen to his voice. The doctor looked firm. “Both the mother and child are saved. Their conditions are stabilized now but I cannot guarantee how long it will be. We will try our best to save her but please do be prepared for the worst,” the doctor replied and told them what happened.
The doctor left and a few moments later, Linda and the baby were wheeled out. Yamapi refused to see them. He closed his eyes when they passed him. “Yamapi, go and see your wife,” someone said but the words fell on ea ears.
“No,” he said.
“What?” Yuki asked and everyone looked at him.
“I’m not going to see her. I’m not going to see the baby. Leave me alone,” he said, his voice hardened.
“Yamashita Tomohisa! What are you thinking of? She needs you now! Your baby needs you to live on! What are you talking about?” Massu grabbed Yamapi’s collar, practically about to hit him.
Ryo and Koyama pulled Massu away from Yamapi. “I will not forgive her,” he said after Massu was pulled away from him.
Everyone was stunned. Yuki got up and slapped Yamapi hard. “What are you talking about? Do not forgive her? What did she do? What did the baby do? I WILL be the one not forgiving you. I hate you. I cannot believe that you are this type of person. She’s better off with Akanishi than you!” Yuki shouted and lost her balance because she was agitated.
Shige caught her and held her close while Yuki cried into his chest. Yamapi walked away from there. He walked and walked, not realizing where he was going.
He was in the hospital’s park. He sat down in a corner, hugged his legs and started to sob. He recalled the scene in the ambulance. He recalled that scene where Linda apologized to him and close her eyes. He then recalled the scene when she was smiling at him that morning, teasing him about the way he slept. He recalled the scene when he last saw her full of energy. He recalled the scene when he last kissed her. Finally, the scene that came back to him was when she was closing her eyes and the loud crazy beep of the machine indicating that he was losing her in the ambulance.
“Linda, Don’t leave me,” he whispered in between the sobs.

shige & yuki 2
As the day of the filming gets nearer, the more uneasy yuki felt. Yuki had an ominous feeling and was still hesitant about her decision. In addition, Yuki was feeling unwell the past few days and had been nauseous at times and decided to visit the doctor. The ominous feeling was then forgotten.
[On the day of filming]
“Kato shigeaki, wake up. You sleepyhead, come on dun lie on the bed anymore.” yuki went to sit beside shige who was still sleeping on the bed. “My dear shige, wake up~~ breakfast is ready and we still have to attend the filming for music station.” She tried to shake him so that the sleepy shige will wake up.
Shige give a muffled answer and then sit on the bed. He looked at yuki in his drowsy eyes and gave her a kiss before washing up. Both of them then proceed to shuichi’s room and want to wake the sleepy boy up.
“Shuichi baby, wake up.” Yuki carried the boy in her arms and planted a kiss on his forehead. “Happy birthday my little angel” the boy giggled and open his arms towards shige. Shige carried the boy on his shoulder and both of them ran all the way down the staircase to the dining table.
“Shuichi, mummy and daddy will bring you to aunt Linda’s place today so that you can play with akira, takizawa and Takahisa. Do you want to go?” the boys eyes light up and clapped his hands eagerly.
A few days ago, Yuki and Linda had agreed to hold shuichi’s birthday party at the latter’s place after the filming. Yamapi saw Linda sitting uncomfortably. “Linda-chan, are you really feeling okay?” he asked, glancing at her.
She nodded. “I’m fine. Really, I’m just nervous. That’s all,” she assured him.
Yamapi pursed his lips and decided not to pursue further. He knew that Linda was hiding her pain away from him just like before but he also knew that Linda would get upset and would have a cold war with him for a long time.
When they arrived at the studio, Linda’s face lit up. He could see her mischievous eyes again. “Don’t go running…” Yamapi started but Linda had already gone out of the car and running towards the entrance where Yuki and Shige was standing.
“Linda Masaki! How could she run off like that? What does she think? Still an 18 year-old? She’s 30 and carrying a baby, for goodness’ sake!” Yamapi grumbled as he made his way towards them.
When he approached them, Yamapi twisted Linda’s ear. “Oww! What did you do that for?” she asked, irritated.
“Serve you right! Do you ever listen to what I said about running and jumping and all those stuff? Do I have to remind you?” Yamapi asked, getting a bit angry over her careless attitude.
Linda looked down at the floor. Yuki and Shige were feeling a bit uncomfortable. “Ne, Yamapi-kun, don’t get angry. It’s not nice for people to see,” Shige remarked.
Linda walked away from them. “See, you hurt her feelings,” Yuki accused him and went after her.
Linda went inside the dressing room and saw News members streaming in. She grinned. “How are you?” she asked Massu.
Massu grinned at her. “I’m fine. How’s my godson?” he asked.
“Takahisa? He’s naughty by day. You should see him one day,” Linda replied.
“Haha..I will. Anyway, where’s Yamashita-kun?” he asked.
“He’s somewhere. He’ll be here in a few minutes’ time,” Linda answered.

“Massu! How are you? Linda, I need to talk to you,” he said, pulling her to a corner.

She still did not answer him. He closed his eyes and knew that she was having a cold war with him. Just as he thought he was doomed for, he felt his hand being squeezed. He opened his eyes and saw her smiling softly at him. “Let’s just do our best later, ok?” she said.
He nodded and bent down to give her a kiss. “Ahem! We are on in 60 seconds’ time,” someone announced.
They pulled away and went to prepare to go on stage. Yamapi, Linda, Shige and Yuki would be the last couple to get interviewed since Yuki and Linda were from the same group and they too were once the most popular stars in the entertainment business.
Yuki and Shige went on first. They talked about what went on with their life and so forth. As they were announcing their son’s birthday that day, the emcee asked, “So, when will we be expecting a 2nd little one from the Kato family?”

Yuki and Shige went on first. They talked about what went on with their life and so forth. As they were announcing their son’s birthday that day, the emcee asked, “So, when will we be expecting a 2nd little one from the Kato family?”
Shige was blushing and looked at his wife. His wife too blushed and answered, “I’m expecting another one now.”
“Eh?” everyone including Shige was stunned.
Linda who was beside Yuki, jumped up and hugged her friend. Yamapi was surprised by his wife’s reaction that he almost had a heart attack. “Omedetou!” Linda wished her sincerely.
Yamapi held her hands tightly so that she would not create anymore heart attacks for him. The emcee and the couple talked further before it was Yamapi’s and Linda’s turn. “Hai, now let’s find out about the leader of the group-Yamashita-san!” the emcee announced.
Linda and Yamapi bowed. “So, before we start, I could see that Yamapi loves his wife so much that he did not want to let her hands go,” the emcee teased them.
“Ohh…yes, I do,” he nodded which made Linda blushed.
“So, Linda-san, you are currently expecting the fourth one?” the emcee asked again.
She nodded. “ Yes, I am. The other three are at home with Yamapi’s mother,” she answered.
“Before that, let’s see some of their pictures,” the emcee said.
The screen flashed the three boys and their happy family photos. Linda’s eyes started to blur.A shot of pain went through her tummy. “I heard that one of them is named after Massu-kun, is that right?” the emcee asked.
“Yeah, the third one. Massu’s had been very helpful towards me during the whole period when Yamapi was away for some filming in another country that time. That’s why we named the boy after him,” Linda explained, hiding her pain.
“Their ages are 3, 2 and 1. Whoa, one year one child. Yamapi, you really do love kids,” the emcee teased again.
With each question, and time went by, Yamapi could feel Linda squeezing his hand, harder and harder. He glanced at her but he found no trace of pain on her face except for her eyes. After a few more questions, the whole interview was over and News gathered to perform. When Linda let go of his hand, Yamapi felt uncomfortable. He looked at his wife again before going up the stage and felt a bit assured when he saw her smile. Yuki and Linda were at backstage watching them perform. Halfway in the performance, Linda tugged Yuki’s arm. “Yuki, can you help me to the dressing room?” she asked.
Yuki saw Linda’s face had turned to deathly white. “Ok, let’s go,” she said, helping her away.
Linda sat down on a chair and put her head down while clutching something tightly. “Linda, are you ok?” Yuki asked, worriedly.
“I’m just tired. Let me rest for awhile,” she whispered.
Yuki watched her, concerned. “Are you in pain?” she asked a few minutes later.
“No, I’m not. Don’t worry. It’s too early for me to be in labor,” Linda assured her.
Yuki kept quiet. She waited a while longer. She went over to Linda. She touched her forehead. It was cold. “Linda-chan?” she called.
Linda did not answer. Yuki patted her arm. Her hand who was clutching something dropped and the thing fell from her hand. “Linda-chan? Ne, Okite!” she shook her.
Linda’s face was white. Yuki, fearing something wrong was happening, put her finger under Linda’s nose. Her breathing was getting slower. “Linda-chan! Yamapi,” she said and rushed out of the door.

Before Going For Music Station *Yamapi & Linda
“Ah! My darlings are awake!” Linda grinned as she entered the boys’ room.
From far, she could hear the chattering of the boys’ laughter and baby talk. Yamapi and Linda did not buy any baby cots for the boys but just a huge futon. It was easier because they are naughty sleepers and so Yamapi and Linda would not be worried about them falling off their beds. She often wondered how they could understand each other but she was proud to see that three brothers were pretty close with each other.
Linda kissed each of their foreheads lovingly. “Let’s disturb your papa, ok?” she suggested, with a twinkle of mischief in her eyes.
Linda, carrying Takahisa while the other two ran ahead, crept into their room where Yamapi was sleeping peacefully on the futon. Takizawa and Akira had already jumped on him when Linda arrived. Yamapi was laughing and was rolling over, trying to get away from the boys. Takahisa, who was in Linda’s arms, began to squirm as he saw his brothers and dad were having fun without him. Linda put him down and he immediately crawled over. Linda just laughed.
Yamapi who saw Linda laughing alone, stood up and grabbed her. “Chotto matte! Tomohisa!” she exclaimed when Yamapi pulled her down.
She accidentally hit her stomach slightly when she fell down. Yamapi looked worried. “Linda! Daijoubu?” he asked, rushing to her side.
Linda shook her head. She smiled. “It’s ok. I’m fine. Don’t worry. Just a slight bump. Don’t do it next time,” she assured him.
Yamapi looked guilty. Linda squeezed his hand and before long their sons were all over them. His mom opened the door slightly and smiled when she saw the whole family teasing each other. “Please let them always be this way,” his mom prayed as she gently closed the door.
“Ok, ok. Fun’s over. The four of you needs a bath. Do you boys want mummy to bath for you or your papa?” Linda asked the kids.
“I want mummy!” Yamapi answered.
“I’m not talking to you,” Linda replied which made Yamapi pout.
The boys went to their father. “Ok then. Papa, please bathe them properly. Ja!” Linda smiled and left the room.
(in the kitchen)
“Where are they?” Naomi, Linda’s mother in law asked.
“Bathing. Those four really are hyper,” Linda remarked, rubbing her tummy.
“Is everything ok?” Naomi asked, worried about her gesture.
Linda smiled. “I’m fine. Let me help you. Oh ya, Yuki will be coming over later to drop her child for awhile,” Linda replied.
“Yes! That darling Shuichi. Those boys will be delighted to see him. I just hope that Takahisa will not get overboard because he is so excited to see Shuichi that he hit Shuichi or something. That boy got too much energy,” Naomi laughed.
“We are here!” Yamapi announced their arrival.
Akira and Takizawa climbed over their chair while Yamapi placed Takahisa into his baby chair. “Everyone smelled very nice!” Linda commented as Yamapi kissed her cheek when he slid into the chair next to her.
The boys ate their breakfast hungrily and soon left the table to watch their morning cartoons. Linda helped to wash the dishes while Yamapi watched over the kids.
Half an hour later, Yuki and Shige arrived. “Konnichiwa!” Shige greeted.
The boys rushed over and giggled when they saw Shuichi. Shuichi in turn was squirming in his seat to get out and play. Yuki finally took him out and let him free to join the boys. “So, we will see you later then,” Yuki smiled.
“Yeah, we will,” Linda nodded.
Yuki turned again before leaving. “You looked pale. Are you sure you are okay?” she asked quietly.
“I’m fine. Really. Don’t worry,” she replied, patting Yuki’s hand.
Yuki took another look at her and went off with Shige who was waiting for her outside the car. “Sa, Are you ready to go?” Yamapi asked.
“Yes, I am. Let me get my stuff,” she replied, running up the stairs.
“Linda! How many times do I have to tell you not to run!” Yamapi shouted after her but Linda kept a deaf ear.
Linda went to their room and took her handbag. She freshened herself up a bit and rubbed her back. Yamashita Linda was playing with her 3 children on the beach at Hawaii. Her husband, Yamashita Tomohisa aka yamapi was shooting a commercial for a fruit juice not far away from them.
“Akira, take care of your brothers. Don’t run too far away. Takahisa stop throwing sand at your 2nd brother. I said stop now." Linda who was 8 months pregnant was walking towards her youngest son, Takahisa. She grabs his hand and hit it.
“Stop doing it. If not I’m not going to buy you sweets when we get back to the hotel.” Takahisa just give his mother a smile and continued with his mischief. “ I give up!” at that moment, her husband came and meet up with them.
“ Yamapi, look at them. They are not listening to me and takahisa is making takizawa cry. I give up. You deal with them.” Linda walked back to the seating area and drank her apple juice.
“ Akira, takizawa and also takahisa come to daddy. Why did you all make mummy angry? Akira I know you did try to help mummy, I will buy you an ice cream later. takizawa, wipe your tears. Boys should not cry easily ok? *wipe his tears* and lastly, takahisa, why are you bullying your brother. No sweets for you today.” Yamapi said sternly to them.
“ now go and say sorry to mummy. Move it boys” yamapi lead the boys to where his lovely wife is sitting.
“ I’m sorry mummy. I will not misbehave anymore” the boys said in unison and hug their mummy. Yamapi gave his wife a grin and kiss his wife on the cheek.
He went back to work and the boys continued building the sandcastle. Linda joined them and all of them had a fun time. the sun is going to set soon and yamapi had just finish filming. The whole family took a slow walk back to the hotel which was 5 minutes walk away.
“ linda, I have to cut short the holiday and we have to leave this sat. your uncle called me just now and told me that we have to attend a special music station show this Monday. The producers want to celebrate the 12yrs anniversary of NEWS. Therefore, uncle wants us to be there”
“ what! We have only been here for 2 wks and you have been working all this while. You promised to spend time with the kids for the next 2 wks and now you want to cut short the holiday. I refuse to attend and if you really want to go you go by yourself.” Linda then walked away with the kids. Yamapi decided to go to the hotel café and have a drink.

“boys, mummy wants to make a phone call to aunt yuki. If you all behave yourself, mummy will order pizza later.” Linda then dialed the familiar number.
“ moshi moshi, yuki, I’m so angry at that guy, ARGH!. He wants to cut short the holiday to attend the stupid music station recording which I believe shige had told you about. Its been so long since me and the boys have a holiday with him. Or should I say spent time with him. He is always busy busy busy. Does he care about us?” linda vent her anger out to yuki who was at the receiving end.
“ linda, why don’t you think of it from another angle? Yamapi have to work so hard to support this family and he also wants to have more time for you all. Therefore, you have to understand his situation. Yamapi may want to earn more money so that you all could live a good life and maybe to save money for the kids’ education which includes your unborn child. So now I think you should calm down and look at things from a different angle. After that, you have a good talk with him.” linda always find yuki whenever she have a problem. Since young, yuki have been the one who is calm when facing a problem.
“ yuki, your words make me realize how selfish I have been. Well, i know what I have to do now. By the way how is little shuichi? Is he being as naughty as my boys? You will not want to know what they are doing in the room now. Some are jumping on the beds and Takahisa is grabbing things and throwing at his brothers. Alright yuki I have to go. Things are getting out of hand at this moment. I know I’m pregnant. Don’t be like my mother yuki. I know how to take care of myself. Sayonara ne.!” linda put the phone down and went to get takizawa who was crying as he had fallen from the bed.
“All of you stop now. Mummy’s getting angry.” All the boys stop what they were doing and look at linda. “ Now that’s my good boys. Are you all hungry now? Want to get pizza?” the boys eat the pizzas and soon, they fall asleep. Linda then tucked them to bed. She is exhausted but was waiting for yamapi to come back.
By the time yamapi came back, he found his wife sleeping. As he was going to on the bedside lamp, yamapi found a note.

Sorry, I have been selfish. I decided to go for the filming and you go and arrange the flight stuffs. Oyasumi tomo-chan. Aishiteru yo.

shige & yuki
A nice aroma from the kitchen brought Kato shigeaki and his 1yr and 11 month old kid, shuichi to the kitchen where his wife, yuki was. She was busy cooking beef spaghetti for dinner as it was shige’s favourite. Both shige and shuichi was pinching on the food and tried to avoid being caught by yuki.
“ shige and shuichi, don’t pinch on the food. if you all don’t stop now, you all will regret it.” Yuki turned to face them and ran towards them. She chased them all the way to the living room and shuichi who was carried by shige keeps giggling in his arms.
“ okok, I surrender” shige said yuki when she caught them. Yuki was tickling them till all of them fall on the sofa.
As yuki was busying setting up dinner on the table, the phone rang.
“ moshi moshi, Linda, shibaraku desu nee. Ogenki desu ka?” said yuki excitedly. After awhile, she put down the phone and sat down on the table.
“ shige shuichi, dinner time” the father and child sat at their usual place on the table.
Shuichi dinner was chicken porridge which yuki had cooked earlier. As everyone was eating their food, yuki suddenly asked a question.
“ shige, did you forget to tell me something important?” yuki look suspiciously at shige who was trying to avoid her stare.
“ alright, I believe the caller just now was linda-chan. Yup, music station is having a special edition for NEWS and they want to invite all of us including our family over for a little chat.” Shige give yuki a puppy face that never fails to make yuki succumb.
“lets eat dinner now and talk later” yuki show a silly face to shige who was happily eating his spaghetti.
After dinner, shuichi insisted on watching his favourite cartoon on tv. While the kid was engrossed in the cartoon, yuki drag shige to the other side of the room.
“ what is it all about shige? I heard from linda that they had to cut short their holiday in Hawaii for the filming and they had argued over it. Shige, tell me all the details.”
Shige walked to where yuki was and put his hand on her shoulder. “ well, it is NEWS 12 yrs anniversary and the music station producers intend to invite the spouses of the members to attend it. However, I have not given my answers to them yet though all the other members inlcluding yuya, are quite enthusiastic about this arrangement.”
“ do you think I should attend? Its been so long since I appear on screen. I’m quite worried of having to face the audience again.” Yuki hold the hand on her shoulder.
“ yuki, look at me. You will do fine. Don’t forget that I’m there with you and I will never let you out of my sight for a single moment. Trust me things will be fine.” Shige held yuki’s free hand and put it to his heart.
“ well, when is the filming?” yuki said to shige while resting her head on his shoulder.
“that is what worries me. It falls on shuichi’s 2 yr old birthday and that’s why I have not given my consent to the filming. What do you think yuki?”
“ um.. are you keen to attend this show? *shige nod his head* then I think that shuichi birthday celebration will have to be postponed.” After hearing yuki’s word, shige looked endearingly at his wife.
The couple went back to the sofa where young shuichi was sleeping soundly. Shige carried him to his bedroom and tucked him to bed. Yuki stood by the door and switched off the light.
